The meeting was called to order by President Tom Langenhop at the Elkhart Airport.

Tom L. reviewed last month’s minutes, and they were approved.
The club board meeting minutes were handed out and approved.
Tom L announced that it was good to have Harry R. back with us again.
Denny O. announced that we purchased a new push mower for the club.
Tom L. went over the requirement of 2008 volunteer members that didn’t meet their required hours must pay the difference to sign up as a volunteer member for 2009. He intends to send out letters or email explaining this to them. There are very few that didn’t meet the requirement. He went over the hours you can earn for the different items listed by the board in the board meeting minutes.
Club Dues was brought up by member Harold P. he asked whether or not we made is much money being our membership was down significantly from the year before. Harold R. said that we were able to make more money than last year. In fact we lost money last year. Harold asked the membership whether dues would or should drop to entice people back in the club. It was brought up that the board felt the dues were reasonable and that we were trying to give the membership more for their money. We have been trying to plan more events and give demonstrations at all the meetings. It was brought up by membership that in order to maintain volunteer status all you need to do is come to 10 of the 12 meetings.
It was brought up that 3 board member positions are opening up and elections will be held in December for these three positions as well as President, Vice President, and Secretary. The floor was opened up for nominations. Tom L. was nominated for President again. Denny O. was nominated for Vice President again. Thad B. was nominated for Secretary again. Jim B. Jr, Nathan Soward, Larry Miller, and Dave Troyer were all nominated for board members.
During the next club meeting in December Tim L. will go over how to sharpen monokote scissors and knives to cut the monokote effectively. Also if there is time Thad B. will continue going over programming on the new JR 2.4 9303. If you have any ideas of items that you would like to see at the meeting feel free to drop us an idea via email, phone call, or just conversation. It is best to talk with any of the board members, presidents, or secretary to make sure it is put on the agenda.
The club elections will be held in December. Feel free to apply or nominate an individual. Please only nominate individuals that are willing to participate.

We are preparing for our next Junk Yard Wars. If you missed it last time, don’t let it happen again. This is an extremely fun and entertaining club event. No experience building required only experience on how to crash. Please start to bring in you “Junk” from this season so we can add it to our collection. The Junk Yard committee is considering opening this competition up to outside clubs. Even if you don’t want to participate in the build you’ve got to watch us try to fly this “Junk”, it’s hilarious.
The next meeting will be a Thursday December 11th at 7pm at the Elkhart Airport. Bring something to show and tell.
Meeting was adjourned.
Thanks
Respectfully submitted
