Flightmasters of Elkhart County, Ltd.

Minutes of April 10th 2008 club meeting

The meeting was called to order by President Tom Langenhop at Elkhart Airport.

Copies of the Treasurers Report were distributed and approved.  Copies of the board meeting were handed out for everyone to review.  There were no minutes kept at the last club meeting because Thad B. was on vacation.  Currently there are 48 members signed up to Flightmasters this year.  It was noted that there are only 13 members that have paid their AMA currently and have not joined up to date.  It was noted that the Mojo build was a great success and that everyone learned a lot from Tim Linton’s demonstration on covering techniques.

We reviewed the board meeting minutes.  The mole treatment and the fertilizer and weed & feed were approved by the board.  The new sign and flyer were approved.  It was our hope to install the sign at the field clean up day.  We discussed a fun-fly, junk yard build, mojo build, and combat day for this year as potential events.

It was brought up to check in on the new website.  Nathan S. has been updating it and trying to keep it current.  There is a calendar with current events and the mowing schedule posted.  It is currently scheduled out for about 2.5 months.  If you can mow please check the available dates and let Denny O. know.  We only want to mow east of the hill every 2 weeks or so.  We need to check the gas every 3 weeks.  If you need to get fuel and can afford to pay for it, just turn in the fuel receipt to Harry R. and you will be reimbursed.  The tractor is a Bargers getting the maintenance done.  There is one wheel bearing going out so it was mentioned to have it checked on.

Field cleanup will be rescheduled to April 26th if the weather is bad.

The next meeting will be a May 8th at 7pm  at the Airport.

Tom L. did a show and tell on how to balance a prop.  Everyone enjoyed sharing different techniques they’ve tried throughout the year.

Meeting was adjourned.

Thanks

Respectfully submitted

Thad Bessinger Secretary
